He believes that music composition and performance mirror software design and coding, both being art forms with lots of room for creativity and high reliance on craftsmanship. He likes problem solving, and enjoys being challenged.

He has over 17 years of professional software development experience that spans many facets of the field. Ammar has lived in too many places to call a single one of them home, preferring to view himself as a citizen of the world. Currently Ammar is splitting his time between Oakland, Califonia and Ramallah, Palestine. When in Ramallah, he is involved in both local and remote programming projects.
