Tara is certified in Filemaker 10. Tara has been working happily with Beezwax Datatools since 2005. Her history with FileMaker is much longer, beginning in 1992 with version 2. Like many developers, Tara taught herself FileMaker while building a database system on the job. During this time, she simultaneously attended UC Davis to earn a B.A. in Physics, and a second B.A. in History and Philosophy of Science.
Upon graduation, she transitioned to full-time work at Pacific Response as the Lead Database Developer in a team of three building a very sophisticated system managing all aspects of a business with 100 employees and two offices.
Since then Tara has used her strong project management and database development skills as a consultant. She has ten years of experience as a consultant developing databases in various settings: non-profit, for-profit, education and government. She has a flexible project management style, with experience in a range of project formats from structured & well defined to dynamic & chaotic.
In 2001, Tara began working towards her PhD in Psychology and it shows. Her communication and intuition skills are excellent, and they support her work as a programmer and project manager exceptionally well. Although she has designed custom databases for fifteen years, she still craves the challenge and personal satisfaction in helping organizations run more smoothly. Even as her work in psychology increases, we look forward to her working with the team for years to come. Over the next few years, Beezwax will be expanding our service offerings to include more non-technical ways of supporting our clients workflow and internal management and Tara will help lead us in this endeavor.
