Vince has been working with FileMaker for over 13 years, and has a varied background. He helped his father run his auto body repair shop in Montreal and worked as a professional musician for a number of years. He returned to school at Concordia University, with a major in Music and minor in Physics. What he enjoyed most about that time was that he was applying his knowledge immediately to the real world. To get through school he decided to sell hand-made chimes. When bought a Mac plus in 1985 to run his business, he became enthralled with the possibilities of technology. He taught himself FileMaker Pro 2.1, Excel, and Word. It was a seasonal company, so when things slowed down, he had time to learn more about FileMaker in order to improve his business systems.
When the recession hit, he sought teaching work at a local college in Montreal. This experience led to consulting opportunities, and in 1996, he moved to Toronto to work as a consultant for the Ministry of Education on a very large FileMaker project that was being rolled out for the entire province.
Vince also subcontracted for Media-X based out of Ottawa. While in Ontario he began to focus his attention more on products rather than consulting. In 1999 Vince moved to Arizona for 5 years, and now lives in California and plans to continue to working in the FileMaker community by building some fantastic new products.
