For more than 15 years we have designed custom web, database and desktop applications for organizations of all sizes, working in dialog with our clients to create powerful, elegant solutions using various technologies.

Position

We’re focused on creating the next generation of highly interactive, usable information applications — expert systems that streamline our clients’ workflow and make business fun again. We use Ruby on Rails, PHP, HTML5/CSS3 and AJAX, working with both SQL and FileMaker databases on the back end.

We’re looking for new developers to help us turn around a wide variety of open projects. You should be actively engaged and passionate about the technologies you’re using, quick to learn, and ready to collaborate. Recent CS/CE grads are also encouraged to apply.

You should be interested in working as part of a smaller firm, although experience freelancing or working at a larger corporation is valuable.

Both part-time and full-time positions are available. We are open to working with freelancers on a per-project basis.

Requirements

  • Solid (2+ years) development experience with a major web framework (Ruby on Rails, Zend, CakePHP, Django, …)
  • Advanced understanding of JavaScript and experience using a JavaScript library
  • Solid understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with source control (Git, SVN, …) and deployment tools (Capistrano)

Compensation

Beezwax offers compensation at competitive market rates, depending on a developer’s expertise and experience.
