With its straightforward RedDot / GreenDot scheme, spotting problems is a breeze. If only all our problems were this easy to spot! Search using a comprehensive engine that is fast and searches across all of your solution's elements. Find a variable (whether it's a local or global variable or a script parameter) in any calculation, custom functions, auto-enter calculations, regular calculations, even tool tips!

Use Inspector's™ hot-linking to drill down to a particular related element or problem. Rich reports, exhaustive searching tools, and more detailed views all make Inspector™ the one-and-only tool you need to dissect your FileMaker® solution.

Green dots mean an element such as a field has no other elements (i.e. calculations, scripts, etc.) that reference it. An extremely useful feature when you're trying to trim down your database. Now you can delete with confidence.

Powerful Filtering

Inspector™ is a must-have tool for any serious FileMaker® working in the new architecture of FileMaker® Pro 7, 8.x or 9. Whether it's a solution you wrote or one you inherited, Inspector™ provides a very visual interface to help you spot problems. Hover over a problem dot, and a tool-tip shows you exactly what the problem is. Not only are problems easy to see, they are also easy to find. Inspector makes use of Keywords to help you locate items. Type "[PROBLEMS]" into the filter and instantly all your problems are revealed.

Stunning Reports

We've made stunningly visual reports that give you quick indicators to problems — great for you and your co-developers. Are you the lead on a complex project, and need to see how this analysis compares to the last one? No problem! Inspector's comparison report highlights both problems and changes.
