Corwin Schrock

FileMaker Developer

Corwin enjoys working in the tech industry because of the unique ability computers and the internet have in the modern world. The potential for broad returns on energy spent, combined with an innate desire to understand how things work, led him to tinkering with technology and tools from a young age.

"A programmer's work can exponentially make things in people's lives easier, simpler, or more enjoyable by improving the tools we work with every day," he says.

Corwin got started with FileMaker at a manufacturing company where he was the IT administrator, bringing in a development company to build new organization-wide business systems from the ground up. He quickly invested in learning the Claris platform himself, and soon took over development. Since then, he has stepped out into the consulting world. He enjoys applying the knowledge gained from exposure to many different organizations and industries to creatively solve new problems.

Some of Corwin's favorite projects have included a mapping tool used to schedule projects for onsite service crews, a mobile-friendly job and inventory tracking system, and a 2-D drawing tool used to create floorplans for a construction company.

Outside of work, you can often find Corwin playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends, crafting and model-making, reading a hefty fantasy book, or playing piano.
