Mike Anelli

Network Admin & Developer

A self-described "general computer geek", Mike enjoys learning new software, hardware and network engineering technology as it changes and evolves. With 20 years of systems admin experience, he has handled deployments both large and small. Much of Mike’s networking skill originated in the Windows world, working with VMWare, Citrix, AD, SQL Server and Exchange. But, at the end of the day, Mike also enjoys going home to his MacBook Pro.

Software development has long been a fulfilling part of Mike’s life. He started developing in Q-Basic in 8th grade, took his first formal programming class in high school using Turbo Pascal, and since then has programmed in VB, C++, VB.net, PHP, JavaScript, Objective-C, Kotlin and Swift.

Mike’s inspiration from Cocoa Bootcamp training at The Big Nerd Ranch stoked his passion for mobile and desktop app development. After putting several iPhone apps into the App Store, he added (gulp!) Android development into the mix. He’s not worried about OS and platform battles, as he's come to believe in picking the best solution to solve the problem at hand.

One of Mike’s favorite projects was building a fitness workout app for iPhone that posts workout stats to Facebook. If you could invent a way to combine coding with biking or roller skating, Mike would be the first in line to try it out...if not the one who developed it in the first place.
