Simon Brown

Developer & Systems Engineer

Having worked with computers since the days of the Apple ][, CPM, and cassette file storage, Simon has seen technology come and go. But ever since FileMaker was first released in 1985, he knew that one of his second homes would be working with FileMaker, and has been using it nearly continuously since.

Simon is a recognized expert with FileMaker Server and FileMaker Cloud, often sharing new tools and techniques for optimization, monitoring and administration via the Beezwax blog. He is also chief architect of bBox plug-in.

In addition to his FileMaker work, Simon has had significant experience with server administration, DevOps, security, networking, and development with tools as diverse as JavaScript, Swift, Objective-C, AppleScript, Unix shell, Perl, PHP and Python.
