FileMaker-Swift
We can enhance back- or front-end functionality in a custom FileMaker solution using the Swift language and its platforms (iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS).
Back-end FileMaker to Swift Integration focuses on Server-Side Swift, and ideally our Iron Horse platform. These can be understood as service-based enhanced replacements for traditional FileMaker plugins. They’re described as individual nodes here, and collectively in as Server-Side Swift FileMaker Services.
Front-end FileMaker to Swift integration, on the other hand, enables us to deliver full native apps using the toolsets for Apple’s best-in-industry macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS platforms and devices. In addition to being able to leverage the full power of the native toolsets for each of these environments, these apps are able to exchange data in realtime with any modern FileMaker system (via the FileMaker Data API).
