jQuery

jQuery is a long-established JavaScript library that made working with the DOM, events, and AJAX far simpler and more consistent across browsers. Much of the modern web still runs on it, especially older sites and content management themes. We can use it to build new interactive features or maintain and update code that already depends on it.
