Nat Robinson

FileMaker Developer

Nat and Beezwax were drawn together by a shared love of team collaboration, and progressive attitudes towards work and work-life balance. He cites the respect that Beezwax has for the work of development team members and their clients, as a main attraction.

A native of Boston, Nat came west to study Marine Biology at UC Santa Cruz. He started his programming career building systems to run the labs at a biotechnology firm based in Silicon Valley, integrating systems between multiple departments worldwide. He then spent four years maintaining FileMaker custom apps for a seafood sustainability non-profit in Santa Cruz. There he combined his skill set with his love of the oceans, supporting a 3-fold increase in clients as he scaled them from using Excel sheets to a fully-integrated web data collection and reporting system.

Nat is a FileMaker Certified Developer, up to FileMaker 17.

Outside of work, Nat is an avid pro football fan and a member of the local community theater scene in Santa Cruz. His highlights include roles in Julius Caesar, and Death of a Salesman, and co-writing and directing a full length production at Mountain Community Theater.

"Nobody should ever fight with their information systems. They should be built to empower people and businesses to do what they do best, while illuminating new opportunities for growth."
