After obtaining a BA in Psychology from Stanford University, Jeff spent several years in San Francisco working as a research engineer and consultant. He built web applications and other software solutions for small businesses and local nonprofits, in addition to managing technical projects. A longstanding passion for music and curiosity about the psychological aspects of hearing inspired him to pursue a PhD at the University of California, Davis. There he performed research on auditory and multimodal perception, designing and executing experiments to address questions about how we process information from sounds and other dynamic aspects of our surrounding environments.
Jeff joined Beezwax after completing his PhD in 2018. He takes an analytical and thorough approach to his work, and enjoys finding pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
